Micromold
A micromold is a generic term for any miniature tooling application that would require precise measurements on a small scale. Steel components are often machined and manipulated under microscopes and verified through high-end inspection processes to produce accurate micro components and finished parts. Specialized (and small capacity) molding presses are required due to the tiny amount of plastic injected into the tool with each cycle. Degrading of resin is always a concern when running a micromold in an over-sized press. Matrix specializes in the design, build and production of exteremly small parts and has the necessary equipment to verify their accuracy at each stage of production.
